Because waking up early allows you to find that peace and tranquillity to focus on what you need to achieve during the day. Morning time makes or breaks your day. If you start your mornings right, you whole day will go smoothly; if you start your mornings wrong, then you are setting yourself up for a very unproductive and boring day. Therefore, focus on being productive in the morning from the beginning.
Being productive and finishing things in the morning is also much easier and quicker than later in the day. This is because you are more likely to be tired and sleepy later on in the day than in the morning when you are fresh. If you finish your tasks and set goals right in the morning, you can have the rest of the day to yourself.
Improve your focus
A lot of the reasons for not being productive and being lazy is due to the lack of focus. Improving your focus will help you massively in being more productive. Why? Simply because you are able to put your head down and just focus on finishing the task at hand without distractions.

You can always start small then go big. What do I mean by that? So, you can make a small to-do list and work on completing that in the day. Once you become comfortable and used to doing it consistently, them make a bigger to-do list where you have to do a lot more. That way you are not doing too much too soon and run the risk of burning out quickly.
Share you goals with friends and family
If you share your goals with friend and family, you will be held accountable for completing them. Your family and friends can help push you when you need it.
Telling your friends and family that this is what you need to achieve today will help push you, as you will automatically feel the need to complete your goals. Sharing your goals help you to act upon them, as you don't want to feel ashamed that you weren't able to complete them when asked.
